This matters more than the line’s reputation. The same place genuinely suits one person and wears down another, and most of that difference is about what you bring with you rather than the place itself.

People who want depth over comfort and have the support to handle it — a stable base, money, a therapist, friends. Also people mid-reinvention who need the old version gone.

Tends to struggle

People who are already depleted, isolated, or in crisis. Pluto does not add trauma, but it does turn up the volume on whatever is already there, and it is a bad place to be alone and unresourced.

Pluto line vs Saturn line

Both are heavy, and people mix them up. Saturn is weight — slow, grinding, structural. Pluto is pressure — fast, deep, transformative. Saturn asks you to build for years; Pluto tears something out and hands you what is underneath. Saturn is exhausting. Pluto is not exhausting so much as it is not optional.
